Supermarine Swift aircraft photo (No.62)

Both the Swift and Hunter were ordered by the RAF to replace first-generation jets such as the Vampire and Meteor. The Swift was not particularly successful but does hold credit for being the first aircraft operated by the RAF that had re-heat (afterburners).
